Bees, chickens and "plump carrots", or how David - the gardener - Beckham made Lady Victoria laugh to tears

It's been known for a while that David Beckham is trying his hand at gardening. His latest attempt to impress his wife Victoria only made her laugh, but it became an internet hit.

David Beckham may no longer be chasing the ball around the pitches of the world's biggest stadiums, but he has found other interests. One of them is certainly fashion , as evidenced by his collaboration with BOSS . And the other? Gardening .

The $12 million Cotswolds estate, which David and his wife, Victoria , bought in 2016, includes a soccer field , gym , sauna , swimming pool and artificial lake , but there's also a small gardening corner .

From the footballer's previous posts on his Instagram account, we can learn that his garden currently has: spring onions , wildflowers , plums , cabbage and potatoes . What's more, there are also chickens and an apiary on the property.

- My content revolves around motorcycles and camping, and now you have kale, honey and flowers for your home - said the footballer.

Now David Beckham has shown his followers another charming fragment from the life of a gardener, which certainly amused many Internet users. The former footballer wanted to share with his wife the harvest of a long-awaited vegetable: carrots.

- I've been waiting for this moment... carrot, he announced with mock seriousness in the film.

Not everything went as it was supposed to. Encouraged by Victoria Beckham, the footballer pulled out of the ground... unfortunately not a plump vegetable, but a tiny carrot with two uneven roots . There could only be one reaction...

"That's so disappointing," laughed Victoria Beckham.

"An exciting day at the greengrocer's... CARROTS. Not quite what I expected, but at least I made Lady Beckham laugh. Sorry about my carrot," David Beckham wrote under the video. It's hard not to like the guy, right?
